Craven Construction offers two different types of roof coatings, elastomeric & silicone, that can be applied to any foam, flat, or metal roof. An elastomeric roof coating should be applied approximately every 8-10 years and a silicone roof coating every 15-20 years. This timeframe can be affected by foot traffic, drainage, and other factors.
Many homeowners choose to add a coating to their roof to help keep the interior comfortable and lower energy bills. Roof coatings can also help extend the life of your roof, prevent leaks, and reduce the amount of maintenance.

Elastomeric Roof Coating
This is our standard roof coating that we typically apply to residential roofs. It is a reflective coating that is designed to be flexible, yet extremely durable against UV rays, wind, and rain. Elastomeric roof coating applications typically take three days.
We begin each job with a thorough cleaning of the roofing material to ensure the coating will stick. Once the roof is completely dry, we will spray apply two coats of the elastomeric. Craven Construction only spray applies the elastomeric because it will lay the product down evenly. Each elastomeric roof coating can come with a labor warranty up to 5 years.
Silicone Roof Coating
If your roof sees a lot of foot traffic or doesn’t quite drain as it should, a silicone coating is for you. Often used on commercial buildings, walkways, or areas of a roof that may be used for entertaining, a silicone roof coating offers high performance and durability against the elements.
Application starts with the same cleaning routine we perform for an elastomeric coating. We then roll a primer across the entire surface before adding the silicone coating. The coating is squeegeed and then rolled to complete the application.
All of our silicone roof coatings can come with a manufacturer warranty up to 20 years along with a labor warranty up to 10 years from Craven Construction.
Fibermesh
Craven Consntruction goes above and beyond to ensure your roof is well cared for. This includes adding a fibermesh when performing a roof coating. Each seam of the current roof will be covered with the mesh to prevent the existing seams from pulling apart. The fibermesh will add a crucial waterproofing aspect to the coating.
